Amanda and Mike at Broken Top in Bend, Oregon
Classy. Preppy. Funny. Faithful. Young Life. Nurse. Friend to Brooklyn. These are all words that describe or make me think of Amanda, the
gorgeous bride whose wedding photos are featured here. I first met her when we started hosting one of our local high school’s Young Life club in our basement. She’s like a magnet to kids and adults…and my (then) 3 year old daughter practically worshipped her.
Of course we were thrilled when she announced her engagement to Mike and asked me to do her flowers! She insisted on a large white peony bouquet before our local peonies were in season (late winter mind you!). I loved her enough to move mountains and get those show stoppers of a flower over the mountain from Salem to Bend, and then in her hands as she walked down the aisle to her teary eyed groom. For the reception, she had farm tables set up inside Broken Top Lodge topped with tons of mercury glass, antlers, cedar rounds, crystal vases and of course the flowers; white spider mums, hydrangeas, babies breath and roses. She also had a cookie bar, hot cocoa bar, and fire pit/cigar bar (outside). A fun time was had by all that night! Photography by Erica Ann Photography
